CAKE SMASH & SPLASH
It's a very exciting time celebrating your Childs first milestones.
Here at Lucy Fay Photography we offer Cake Smash & Splash Photo Sessions its a fun and memorable way for them to get messy whilst capturing a lovely selection of photos to remember their younger memories.
WHAT IS IT
A cake smash & splash is normally done for a little one who is celebrating their 1st or 2nd birthday.
Each session includes a mini portrait session, cake smash followed by a splash in the bath.
Your chosen setup, use of props and outfit are included in the photo session.
The mini portrait session is a few photos of your child before the cake is introduced - you may bring one of their outfits along for this.
The cake smash is where we introduce the cake to the set - the messy part!
We let your little one get tucked right in (sometimes they may need a little encouragement so this is where mummy and daddy can help too)
Once I have a good variety of images we will then move onto the splash part in the bath tub.
We then fill the little bath with water and bubbles and let your little one have a good splash whilst I capture the last part of the session. The splash is also a good way for you to give them a good clean down too.
INVESTMENT
SESSION FEE is £50
The £50 session fee cover the time of the photo session and your viewing session at the studio.
You can choose to purchase prints, digitals, package or wall art in addition with no minimum spend.
You will pay a booking a £25 booking fee to secure your session date.
This is then deducted from your order at the viewing / ordering session.
HOW TO BOOK
To book your session you will use my online booking calendar of which you will select one of the available dates and times, once you have paid your booking fee to confirm your session we will then discuss all the finer details for creating the most perfect set for your cake smash session.
After booking we will discuss what you would like for the setup colour scheme or theme.
From this I will source all the things needed to create the perfect setup for your session. You also have full use of my props available along with outfits that coordinate with your set too.
You need to provide the cake or a food alternative for your photo session.
This can be from a local baker or supermarket the choice is yours.
I'd recommending bringing something that will compliment your chosen setup.

FAQ
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Your chosen cake whether its from a local cake baker or supermarket the choice is yours.
*A little outfit for your mini portrait session or you could just do it in the outfit they are doing the cake smash in.
*You also need to bring a towel and some bubble bath for the splash part of the session.
Unless we have discussed anything extra you want to bring there is nothing else to remember
DO I BRING THE CAKE?
Yes you do, for the best results try and purchase a cake which will compliment your chosen setup.
You don't have to bring a cake there is other food options which work just as well too.
HOW DO I DECIDE ON A SETUP COLOUR OR THEME?
Choose first whether you would like your set based around a colour or whether you would like it themed.
From there if you let me know whether you would like a simple - minimal decoration or a busy setup with lots of props I will know what to create for you and if you have specific props you want me to use also.
You may send across any ideas you have seen for inspiration too.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
If you would like the photo order to be done in time for their birthday so you have it to display for their birthday. I recommend booking 4-6 weeks before their birthday.
Your viewing/ordering session would need to be booked for 1-2 weeks after the session to make sure it is completed in time.
I recommending booking in advance for all my sessions.
I do take limited amount of bookings each week so if your wanting a specific date or as close too I recommend booking in advance.
I need more than two weeks notice when booking to make sure there is availability with the cake baker.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION?
At the end of the cake smash photo session we will book in a viewing / ordering photo session for you to come back to see you final images.
At your viewing session you will view a gallery of approx 30-35 final images
This is where you choose which package you would like to purchase and if you wish to purchase anything additional you may do so too.
Depending on what you would to get from your session along with your budget I will help you decide what options may be best for you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS ILL?
In the rare occasion your child is ill before your photo session, please let me know in advance of the session and we can reschedule your photo session.
